Junior forward Dylan Dickerson broke an ANHS school record for the most points in a single game by scoring 40 points against Lakewood in a tournament game at the Sonora Tournament on December 16, 2016. The previous record was held by former Wolverine Michael Roll, who had 37 points in a game against Laguna Hills that season. Roll was the 2005 CIF Player of the Year for helping lead ANHS to the 1A championship that year and then starred at UCLA, and is currently playing overseas in Turkey. The Wolverines beat Oceanside in a single game (63-53) and then beat Downey (71-63), Lakewood (83-69), and Servite (59-52) while losing to Mayfair (79-63) and host Sonora (70-59) in the Sonora Tournament. ANHS will play twice locally at St. Margaret's and at El Toro against Huntington Beach next week before Christmas. |
