The Aliso Niguel boys varsity team finally had their season come to an end when they lost at Mater Dei, 66-46 in the first round of the CIF State playoffs.  The Wolverines fought extremely hard throughout the game, but could not overcome a very talented Mater Dei team, along with a overly harsh dose of foul trouble (questionable officiating?) right from the start of the game.  The season ended with the team having an overall record of 26-4, a Sea View League championship (8-0), 2 tournament championships, plus a trip to the CIF Section semifinals, and a chance to play in the CIF State playoffs.  Congratulations to the team members and their families for a season that contained  so many positive memories filled with pride that we will never forget!!  We will gather together to celebrate the achievements of the entire Wolverine basketball program at the Boys Basketball Banquet.  This will be held at the Laguna Hills Recreation Center on Wednesday, March 16th at 6 pm.  We look forward to seeing you then!
