The ANHS boys Varsity basketball won 3 of its 4 games this past week to finish in 3rd place in the Oxford Academy Tournament.  The Wolverines opened the tournament with victories over Segerstrom (60-33) on Monday (12/16) and Pacifica (78-46) on Wednesday (12/18).  This put ANHS into the semi-finals of the tournament on Friday (12/20) against a tough Western team, who dealt the Wolverines a 63-46 defeat.  The team came back on Saturday (12/21) and responded well with a 61-49 victory against a good Valley Christian team in the 3rd place game of the tournament.  ANHS now has a record of 9-2 and will have a few days off for the Christmas holiday break.  The Wolverines will return to action on Thursday (12/26) when they play in the Torrey Pines Tournament.  The opening game will be against Poway at 12:40 pm at Carlsbad High School.
