The ANHS Varsity boys basketball ended its regular season play at home this past week with two very exciting games.  On Wednesday (1/29), the Wolverines overcame a 10-point halftime deficit only to have a last-second layup roll off the rim to lose to Capo Valley (40-39).  The team rebounded with perhaps their best effort of the year against Tesoro on Friday (1/31).  This was Senior Night as the four Wolverine seniors were honored:  Christian Charles (Co-Captain), Danny Gonzalez (Co-Captain), Freathe Sakhi, and Kelin Victoria.  Thanks to the great efforts of the seniors and the rest of the team, the Wolverines jumped out to a 13-point halftime lead, and then held on for a 70-67 win.  This week, ANHS had final exams and was only scheduled for one game on Friday night (2/7) at Mission Viejo High School  at 7 pm.  This is the first of the final three regular season games for the Wolverines, and all three will be away games.  Please come out to support the team as we finish up South Coast League play!
