The ANHS Boys Varsity team finally saw its season come to an end with an 80-62 loss at Corona in a 2nd round CIF 1A Division playoff game last Tuesday evening.  The Wolverines lack of aggressiveness led to poor shooting, too many turnovers, and an uninspired defensive effort.  There were a few illness & injury problems (and some questionable officiating) along with a very good performance by the Corona High School team, which meant that it just wasn't going to be a good night for the Wolverines.  The team ended the season with an overall record of 20-9.  This was the second consecutive season in which ANHS had 20 or more victories, which has never been done before in school history.  The Wolverines also won 2 consecutive undefeated league championships, which also is a first in the history of the school.  We want all of the Wolverine players in the basketball program, and their families to join together to celebrate this season's many accomplishments.  The Boys Basketball Banquet will be held on March 15th at 6 pm at the Laguna Hills Recreation Center, and more information will be coming soon.
