The ANHS Boys Varsity basketball team had a successful week in the La Quinta Tournament, only to lose in the championship game to Edison, 50-49.  Bryan Fisher led the way for the Wolverines with 15 points, while Scott Lynds and Jake Smith each added 10 points.  Fisher, Lynds, and Luke Chaply were All-Tournament selections for ANHS.  The team got to the championship game by defeating Corona Del Mar (71-48), University (71-31), and Long Beach Wilson (75-52) as the week unfolded.  The team resumes play this week at the Sonora/North Orange County Tournament.  The first two games will be held at Canyon High School against La Mirada at 6 pm on Monday (12/12), and against Canyon at 7:30 pm on Tuesday (12/13).  The Wolverines will continue the tournament with games (TBA) on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday to finish off a busy week.  Please come out and support the team!
