The ANHS Boys Varsity ended this last week by winning 4 out of their 5 games in the Sonora/North Orange County Championship Tournament.  After a somewhat sluggish opening win over La Mirada (70-65), the Wolverines lost a very tight game that went down to the last few seconds to co-host Canyon (64-59).  Because of some questionable tournament tie-breaking rules, the Wolverines were put in the Blue (2nd) bracket, which they proceeded to win by running off 3 straight victories over host Sonora (62-56), Diamond Bar (63-54), and co-host Troy (68-50).  Bryan Fisher was named to the All-Tournament Team.  The Wolverines continue play next week by hosting their home opener against Calvary Chapel on Tuesday, 12/20 at 7 pm.  The only other game next week will be against Ocean View at El Toro HS in the North-South County Challenge on Wednesday, 12/21 at 7:30 pm.
