The ANHS Boys Varsity basketball team won both of their games last week to remain at the top of the Sea View League standings at 5-0 (16-6 overall).  On Wednesday (1/18), the Wolverines began the game with a 32-point first quarter, and never looked back in defeating San Juan Hills, 89-55.  On Friday (1/20) at San Clemente, the team lacked energy, but still ended up with a nine-point lead going into the 4th quarter.  The Tritons caught up and tied the game with about 3 minutes to go, but the Wolverines made several key plays on offense and defense down the stretch to win the game, 52-48.  The team takes a short break from league play this week with 2 home games against very good teams.  ANHS has a Monday (1/23) night game against Elsinore at 7 pm to begin the action this week.  Mission Viejo will visit the Wolverines on Friday (1/27) at 7 pm to end an exciting week of non-league play.  Make sure to come out and support the Wolverines!
